Senior Software Engineer

About the role

Visionist is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a fully funded opportunity on a large prime contract. The role involves designing and deploying AI workflows, developing automated workflows, conducting vulnerability analysis, and engaging with customers.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy agentic AI workflows that leverage autonomous planning and tool use to streamline operations and improve system efficiency
• Design, develop, and maintain automated workflows using Python
• Conduct vulnerability analysis and research
• Develop and document technical tradecraft
• Execute customer requests and deliver mission solutions
• Engage with customers to gather requirements and provide support

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
• (Additional 4 years of experience may substitute degree)
• 12 years of experience in software development
• Experience leveraging LLMs to solve complex problems, including prompt engineering and model optimization
• Experience integrating AI into automated pipelines and production workflows using APIs and orchestration tools
• Strong Python development experience
• Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols
• Experience conducting open-source research
• Familiarity with Git
• Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)

Pay

Salary range: $170,000 - $240,000
