Senior Software Engineer

Two Six Technologies builds, deploys, and implements innovative products that solve complex challenges. The Senior Software Developer will support mission‑essential applications within an Agile team, developing high‑performance Go‑based multi‑domain platforms on a decentralized compute mesh.

Responsibilities

• Implement complex platform architectures, including distributed or decentralized topologies, scalable data fabric, APIs, message queuing, event streaming, secure authentication/authorization, and containerization/orchestration.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure high‑quality, reusable, and highly concurrent code.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex distributed systems issues, focusing on performance optimization, latency reduction, and database query tuning.
• Provide continuous maintenance, support, and enhancements for existing data pipelines and backend systems.
• Offer customer support for software systems and application issues.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying knowledge to improve backend architecture.

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of software development experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.
• Strong proficiency in Go (Golang), including concurrent programming, Goroutines, and microservices architecture.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, fault‑tolerant design, event‑driven architectures (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ), and service mesh or discovery tools.
• Strong proficiency with databases: advanced relational schema design (PostgreSQL), NoSQL solutions (DynamoDB, Cassandra), and distributed caching (Redis).
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.

Pay

Salary range: $124,600 – $200,500 USD annually (actual salary determined by education, experience, location, and other factors).
