Senior Software Engineer
About the role
We are a modern technology and services company transforming how organizations source, employ, and manage contract workers. Our goal is to provide a turnkey, full-stack software and service experience for an industry traditionally dominated by manual, cumbersome processes. We are a growing organization with an experienced engineering team and a production platform serving real customers every day. Our customers include fast-growing technology companies and innovative organizations operating in areas such as autonomous vehicles, artificial intelligence, and other emerging technologies. We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join our Feature Team as we continue scaling delivery capacity across our core platform. This role is ideal for an experienced senior engineer who can quickly understand business context, collaborate closely with product partners, own features end-to-end, and help improve the overall effectiveness of the engineering team.
You'll work on our core staffing and workforce management application—a large, modular Rails codebase operating with real production constraints. Work often begins as loosely defined problem statements. Senior engineers are expected to bring context to those problems, shape practical solutions, clarify tradeoffs, and deliver changes that are maintainable and easy for future engineers to build upon. You'll sometimes lead initiatives and sometimes work under the direction of another senior engineer. In every situation, you'll be expected to communicate clearly, thoughtfully challenge assumptions when appropriate, and keep delivery moving forward.
