About the role
Torch.AI is seeking candidates who bring creativity to problem-solving, are comfortable working without full clarity, and take responsibility for outcomes. This role involves building a government-owned reasoning infrastructure that enhances machine reasoning capabilities across various sectors.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement machine learning models and reasoning architectures
- Collaborate with data experts and mission practitioners to understand and address real-world challenges
- Work closely with engineers and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and scalability of solutions
- Contribute to the design and development of the Reasoning Layer, ensuring it operates effectively within mission and operational environments
- Ensure compliance with government standards and regulations related to data ownership and stewardship
Requirements
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar
- Knowledge of data engineering principles and practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passion for building robust, scalable, and secure systems
Qualifications
- Active Secret, Top Secret, or Top Secret/SCI clearance (where required)
- U.S. citizenship is required for all positions
- Experience with government data and decision-making processes
- Understanding of cybersecurity and data privacy best practices
