Senior Software Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with a strong background in software development and an excellent grasp of low-level and cloud technologies. As a Senior Software Engineer at Strac, you'll build cutting-edge full-stack technologies that will transform the way businesses scan and remediate sensitive data across various SaaS, Cloud, Gen AI, Endpoints.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack software solutions, focusing on security, compliance, scalability, and performance
• Develop and optimize network solutions
• Participate in code reviews, contribute to team knowledge sharing, and maintain technical documentation
• Collaborate on machine learning projects, including data preparation, model building, and implementation
• Write clean, scalable code using programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, and Java
• Work within AWS cloud architecture, designing and deploying scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems
• Deep proficiency in JavaScript, Node.js, Python, or Java
• Strong experience using AI-native development tools like Claude Code, Cursor to accelerate coding, debugging, and refactoring
• Hands-on experience using AI/ML tools (e.g., OpenAI, Hugging Face, LangChain, vector databases) and integrating AI into production systems
• Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts such as LLMs, embeddings, prompt engineering, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)
• Expertise in AWS services (Lambda, EC2, DynamoDB, RDS, ECS, ECR, SQS) and AWS networking (VPC, Subnets, ALB, IAM)
• Experience with scalable architecture design, APIs, and both SQL and NoSQL databases
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and debugging skills
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in high-ownership, collaborative, fast-paced environments

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in software development
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Node.js, Python, or Java
• Experience with AWS services (Lambda, EC2, DynamoDB, RDS, ECS, ECR, SQS) and AWS networking (VPC, Subnets, ALB, IAM)
• Experience with scalable architecture design, APIs, and both SQL and NoSQL databases
• Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts such as LLMs, embeddings, prompt engineering, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)
