Senior Software Engineer

Remodel Health is the health benefits platform that revolutionizes health benefits to resource organizations with missions that matter. Our platform shifts organizations from traditional, one-size-fits-all health insurance plans to an individualized health insurance experience for each employee and their family. We were founded on faith-based principles and serve organizations of all sizes and types, from small to large to enterprise. Historically, our core customer pipeline has consisted of churches, K-12 private schools, Christian higher education, and faith-based nonprofits, and in recent years we have grown to serve largely for-profit organizations of all sizes.

The Product Team is looking for a Tech Lead, Software Engineer to join our lean and dedicated group of Engineers. You will have the opportunity to be a key team member in a growth-focused startup environment. In our stack, we use modern tools like React, Redux, Material UI, .NET Core, SQL Server and Azure. We have automated build deploy processes and value strong testing methodologies with automated tooling to help.

Responsibilities

• Integrate with third-party APIs
• Develop web services and code in the UI and backend (including SQL)
• Make architecture decisions
• Develop and maintain well-tested code, from idea to production
• Develop software that performs well and supports an engaging user experience
• Have a voice in the technical direction of the team
• Take on the most complex projects, work full stack, and help architect solutions
• Mentor other members on the team to grow their skills

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software experience
• Mastery of writing & consuming REST APIs
• A strong foundation of Object Oriented patterns
• Good understanding of data structures
• Strong communication skills and work ethic
• Skilled developing web services using C# or Java
• Develop web applications using JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular or Vue

This is an in-office position in downtown Indianapolis four days/week, with work from home Fridays.
