Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Serve as a software product SME, performing code reviews, and other lead functions as required
• Maintain and improve current applications running on October CMS
• Develop and maintain new high-quality web applications using React and PHP (Laravel)
• Develop, enhance, and integrate RESTful APIs in Python and PHP, and work with existing APIs to support business needs within SOA and MACH architectures (Microservices, API-first, Cloud-native, Headless)
• Build data models according to specified requirements
• Collaborate with teammates across disciplines

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering experience
• 2-5 years software design including frontend, API's, and data models
• 2-5 years performing code reviews of team members and contractors
• 2-5 years functioning as lead developer and SME of software products
• Strong background designing and consuming APIs in PHP and solid experience working with PostgreSQL
• Proven understanding of SOA and MACH principles
• Experience with Salesforce API's, October CMS, PostGres and Microsoft SQL Server preferred
• Comfortable working independently while actively collaborating with a team
• Clear communication skills and a proactive, stewardship-driven mindset
