Senior Software Engineer

About the role

We're looking for Senior Backend Software Engineers to join our team in Seattle.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain microservices using Java, Spring Framework, and gRPC
• Lead complex technical projects from conception to production
• Mentor other engineers and contribute to architecture decisions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ship new features
• Write high-quality, well-tested code and conduct thorough code reviews
• Own production issues through to resolution

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software development experience
• 5+ years with Java and Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud)
• Strong experience with gRPC and protocol buffers
• Deep familiarity with microservice architecture and AWS
• Experience building consumer products at scale
• Hands-on experience integrating or building with AI technologies
• Strong communicator who thrives in a collaborative team

Qualifications

• Nice to have: Event-driven architecture experience (Kafka, RabbitMQ), Payment processing or financial systems background, GraphQL implementation experience, CI/CD experience (Jenkins, GitLab CI)

Pay

$175,720 to $191,000, plus significant stock options, comprehensive benefits, and a bonus plan.
