Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the development and maintenance of online, mobile, and internal software platforms.
• Software Developer Architects advanced solutions to business problems using foundational knowledge of software development and business priorities.
• Mentors and teaches other Software Engineers on best practices, languages, libraries, and tools.
• Creates and maintains documentation.
• Collaborates with other departments to develop solutions to business problems, including creating integrations between existing platforms.
• Manages user accounts in cloud-based software.
• Maintains, updates, and creates menu items as menu changes.
• Supports stores with point-of-sale issues.
• Answers guest questions regarding online ordering, gift cards, Piada Rewards, and other questions/concerns that are sent to the Technology-managed email addresses.
• Provides timelines and roadmaps for development projects and technology initiatives.
• Maintain and manage relationships with software vendors.
• Other duties as assigned, as opportunities and challenges arise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, CS, Computer Science and Engineering, CSE, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience/certification.
• Minimum 6 years of professional experience in full-stack development, with preferences for: Ruby on Rails, JavaScript (Vue), HTML/CSS, Mobile apps - iOS (Swift) / Android (Kotlin), Linux server maintenance.
• Specific knowledge of AWS is a plus.
• Understanding of user-experience theories and concepts.
• Cloud server architecture, configuration, and deployment.
• Be aware of security best practices to ensure the appropriate protection of data and resources.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to create a structured project plan and prioritize tasks according to business requirements.
• High attention to detail.
