Senior Software Engineer

Madhive is the leading independent and fully customizable operating system designed to empower local media professionals. With premium supply partnerships and end-to-end tools for planning, targeting, and measuring full-funnel campaign outcomes, Madhive powers campaigns for over 30,000 small and medium businesses daily.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain features across our frontend and backend systems, focusing on clean, robust, and maintainable code.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of user interfaces that provide teams and clients with strong visibility into system behavior and performance.
- Support distributed backend systems, ensuring data accuracy, system reliability, and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with teammates to enhance observability and monitoring through dashboards, alerts, and instrumentation.
- Write comprehensive tests (unit, integration, end-to-end) and contribute to ongoing improvements in tooling, coverage, and quality.
- Participate in meaningful code reviews, share feedback, and help drive alignment on technical decisions.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering partners to scope projects, refine requirements, and consistently deliver features on time.
Requirements
5+ years of experience as a full-stack engineer with modern frontend and backend technologies.
Background in AdTech, including hands-on experience with bidding systems, inventory, supply, and related systems.
Experience with distributed systems, particularly Kafka or similar streaming technologies.
Strong backend development skills, preferably using Golang, but experience with any modern backend language is welcome.
Strong experience with React or a comparable frontend framework preferred.
Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as Looker, OpenTelemetry, Centry, or New Relic.
Able to solve complex problems in a collaborative environment and enjoy working with high-throughput, low-latency production systems at scale.
Strong interest in data science and machine learning concepts, or hands-on experience with high-throughput, AdTech-scale data solutions.
Comfortable working with automated testing frameworks and contributing to an overall testing culture.

Benefits
Madhive offers a competitive salary range of $190,000-$220,000, with the actual offer reflecting the total compensation package and benefits.
