About the role
This is a hybrid role based in Denver, CO with the expectation to be in office at least 3 days a week for collaboration and connection.
Responsibilities
- Act as the governing lead for one or more teams of virtual developers using Cognition AI’s Devin (or similar toolsets).
- Collaborate with Litera development teams to design innovative GenAI-based products and features using tools like Cline, Replit, and Cursor.
- Research, evaluate, and document new technologies, dev agents, and similar tools as they appear on the market.
- Socialize recent technologies throughout the Engineering department.
- Function as an evangelist for leveraging GenAI to responsibly benefit the company and our clients.
- Write clean, maintainable code that is extensible with minimum number of defects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Engineering and Product Management to complete tasks.
- Manage individual task priorities, estimates, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Demonstrate knowledge of software and security best practices (i.e., object-oriented design patterns, OWASP Top 10, SOLID design principles).
- Produce documentation and evaluation of new technologies and their potential value for Litera.
- Communicate with other groups in the organization to evaluate the possibility of leveraging GenAI to address current process challenges and inefficiencies.
- Collaborate with other team members to design and develop robust features and products using GenAI and other modern technologies.
- Translate product and feature ideas into technical designs and development tasks.
- Conduct sessions and webinars to disseminate knowledge throughout the Engineering department.
- Define new opportunities for leveraging GenAI to improve Litera products and organizational processes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software development experience with strong competence in backend development
- 5+ years of experience with .NET/.NET Core, ASP.NET Core, Web/REST APIs
- 5 years of experience with React / Vue / Angular / Svelte, Typescript
- 4+ years of experience with SQL Azure (preferred) or SQL Server
- Unit testing frameworks (i.e., Unknit, MSTest)
- AI development experience including competence with Large Language Models (Azure OpenAI, Anthropic), Prompt Engineering, Embeddings/vectorization/semantic similarity, RAG
- Experience with GitHub / Azure DevOps / Bit and Microsoft Visual Studio Code (preferred) or Microsoft Visual Studio
- Strong visioning, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable speaking to different levels in the organization – from peers to directors to the CTO
- Creative, Independent thinker, collaborative teammate
- Excellent at multi-tasking and able to handle competing priorities
Qualifications
- Nice to Haves: PostgreSQL (preferred), Docker, Azure / AWS / GCP, GitHub Copilot / Windsurf / Cursor / Codex / Devin
Skills
- Must have strong competence in backend development

Benefits
- Pay Transparency for Colorado Applicants: Base salary range is $160,000 to $185,000 USD. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, education, and other relevant qualifications.
