Senior Software Engineer

Position Overview

Sought is a hands-on full stack senior software engineer to design, build, and maintain RIMS application providing appraisal management software solution in Commercial Real Estate. Seeking a quality C#/VB.Net developer to develop code and .NET solutions for business. Required to design, write, and maintain C#/VB.Net coding for future and ongoing projects. Expected to contribute to design and planning sessions and formulate approaches for current coding tasks. Also required to work on legacy code and maintain existing web applications.

What You Will Do And Achieve

• Develop and support existing/new applications
• Maintain systems by identifying and correcting Software defects
• Work on requirement analysis and definitions
• Extensive experience in integrating third party APIs
• Provide support across teams when needed
• Have knowledge and experience in Setup, configuration & Maintenance of IIS and Active Directory
• Work with minimal supervision, but able to communicate and reach out to appropriate contacts when necessary for questions/training
• Ensure that systems are manageable, maintainable, reliable, scalable and secure, designing best practices
• Collaborate with managers of Lender platform engineering teams to ensure that systems are built as designed and interoperate effectively
• Participate in team activities such as design sessions, code reviews and sprint ceremonies
• Serve as a mentor for engineers across the business
• Adhere to best practices around versioning, automated testing, dependency management, system reliability, auto-scaling etc.
• Investigate and resolve technical and non-technical issues, resolving critical incidents in a timely manner and with a thorough root cause analysis
• Contribute to LightBox’s technology strategy as a member of its architectural leadership team

Who You Are

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or equivalent)
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering including design, coding, testing, debugging, implementation, and source management
• 2+ years of experience in building and integrating third Party APIs
• Strong knowledge of .Net framework 4.0
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and SOLID design principles
• Proficient in C#, VB.NET, ASP/VB, IIS
• Proficient in ASP.NET MVC, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and JQuery
• Experience with SOAP and Restful Web Services
• Proficient in SQL Server 2012 and above, Transact SQL, stored procedures, triggers, DTS packages
• Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Experience in using Visual Studio, BitBucket/ SourceTree, JIRA & Confluence
• Experience with code review and evaluation
• Good at understanding requirements and estimation
