Senior Software Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a passion for cloud technology and building highly scalable software solutions. This role is pivotal in driving Hudl’s mission forward, offering ample opportunities to learn and make a significant impact on our loyal and vocal customer base.

Responsibilities

• Key technical leader
• Drive rapid iteration and deployment of changes across the Engineering team
• Support the team by breaking down complex engineering problems, advocating for best practices, and guiding others
• Maintain efficiency by focusing on outcomes over outputs, encouraging data-driven decision making, and iterating quickly on feedback
• Collaborate across disciplines to plan and iteratively deliver enhancements across our product suite
• Promote an agentic AI mindset and adopt agentic engineering techniques
• Translate requirements, create architectural proposals, break work into digestible increments, and guide other engineers through implementation
• Partner with product managers, designers, and quality assurance to build great products and think customer-first
• Mentor and collaborate with others to build excellent software and grow the skills of those around you

Requirements

• Strong technical proficiency in scalable, cloud-based software
• Proven track record of designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based systems with full-stack engineering
• Advocate of CI/CD, able to drive engineering practices across any team, and quick to pick up new stacks and frameworks
• Demonstrate an AI-forward mindset and strong bias for agentic engineering techniques
• Technical leadership and product partnership experience
• Mentorship mentality and collaborative, team-first mindset

Qualifications

• Professional background in TypeScript, React, GraphQL, C#, React, MongoDB and AWS
• Experience with video encoding and storage tools like ffmpeg or video livestreaming protocols like HLS, RTMP, SRT or similar
• Mobile development know-how, especially with React Native or native iOS/Android development
• Transaction processing and financial systems experience, particularly with Stripe and Stripe Connect
• Sports industry knowledge, especially in American football at a high level
• Familiarity with hybrid teams and remote work environments

Pay

The base salary range for this role is $112,000 - $187,000 USD. Any bonuses awarded are based on individual and company performance paid at Hudl's discretion.
