This role is for candidates based in or open to relocating to San Francisco (Rincon Hill), in person 5 days a week. Full time. No remote opportunities are available.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship the core systems behind Hike's AI healthcare platform.
• Design scalable services, put AI into production, and deliver experiences that improve patient outcomes.
• From day one you will have real autonomy and clear impact.
• You will be placed on the team that best fits your strengths, on one of our three pods: Hike Intelligence, Hike Clinical, and Hike Lab and Marketplace.
• Ship user-facing experiences that move real metrics for patients and customers.

Requirements

• A senior engineer with a track record of shipping production systems end to end.
• Strong fundamentals across backend or full-stack, and comfort making architecture and infrastructure decisions.
• Fluency with modern cloud and tooling.
• Experience putting AI into production is a plus, not a requirement.
