About The Role

ExaCare seeks a high-ownership senior software engineer to lead the development of user-facing features, internal tools, and backend logic. This role involves designing, building, and maintaining production-ready applications, as well as translating complex workflows into intuitive user interfaces and reliable backend systems.

What You’ll Do

• Ship user-facing features end-to-end
• Partner with the engineering team to scope, build, and release production-ready React screens, REST endpoints, and background services
• Own the code you write, producing clean TypeScript, well-tuned SQL, and thorough automated tests
• Deliver zero-downtime releases that continuously improve our quality standards
• Create internal tools to increase development velocity, such as dashboards, feature-flag systems, and dev-ops automations
• Invent new capabilities that redefine post-acute facility operations, focusing on bed-filling and payment processes

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
• 5+ years of engineering experience with a focus on scalable distributed systems
• Self-starter with the ability to rapidly learn new technologies and turn tasks into actionable plans
• Demonstrated ability to triage and prioritize production incidents efficiently
• Ownership mentality and resourcefulness
• Organized with a strong attention to detail, emphasizing quality code, automation, validation, and testing
• Experience with AWS, large language models (LLMs), TypeScript, and PostgreSQL
• Strong communication skills to translate technical concepts into accessible language for cross-functional teams and stakeholders
