Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Work with small, multi-disciplinary teams to develop software solutions for manufacturing clients.
• Develop applications ranging from standalone SCADA applications to full-scale MES/MOM applications across multiple facilities.
• Participate in project commissioning teams that go onsite to the client, allowing you to see the “fruits of your labor” and experience unique manufacturing environments such as automotive assembly, guitar manufacturing, chocolate production, and whiskey making.

Requirements

• A BS in Computer Science or Engineering (Computer, Electrical, Mechanical)
• 10+ years’ experience designing and developing software applications using some or all of the following languages and/or technologies: Python, C#, .NET, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, database experience (MS SQL preferred)
• An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience will be considered
• Travel up to 10%

Nice to have

• Experience with MQTT and UNS
• Experience with Vue, React, or Angular
• Agile methodology experience
• Basic knowledge of PLC tag structures and communications
• Azure DevOps experience
• Familiarity with working in a manufacturing environment

Physical Demands

• Sitting at a desk or console for extended periods
• Must be able to be fitted for Personal Protective Equipment for certain customers
• Standing and walking on a concrete surface for extended periods
• Kneeling periodically on concrete or padded surfaces
• Lifting and carrying 25 lbs. or more
• Walking/working in mezzanine (screen guard) area (20 – 25 ft. high, wire mesh floor)
• Climbing a ladder or metal stairs to access mezzanine (screen guard) area
• Work in wash-down locations with wet/slippery floors

Work Schedule

• Ability to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays as required
• Must be able to travel and work extended hours

• The work environment for this job is a combination of office and industrial setting with little exposure to inclement weather
• Industrial environments vary and can include dusty, dirty, hot or wet conditions or in confined areas or other uncomfortable places
