Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

Diode Computers, Inc. is seeking a senior software engineer to help automate circuit board design and manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have experience with at least one of Rust, Python, or TypeScript and a strong software-first lens.

About the Role

The position involves designing a programming language for PCB schematics, developing a Rust compiler and CLI build tool, integrating APIs with PCB fabs, creating constraint-based layout algorithms, and automating various design processes. The role also includes collaborating with the in-house EE team to optimize workflows and contributing to open-source libraries.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• A few years of experience with at least one of {Rust, Python, TypeScript}
• Some prior experience owning large parts of a technical project
• The ability to work from the office in NYC, ~5 days a week
• Bonus points for hardware tinkering experience and AI tool-building experience
