Key Responsibilities
- Design, code, test, and debug navigation software using MATLAB, Simulink, C, and Python.
- Integrate software and systems on state-of-the-art embedded hardware.
- Implement INS/GPS Kalman filter design, sensor fusion algorithms, and system requirements definitions.
- Collaborate within an Agile team environment leveraging Model-Based Engineering and modern automated software development workflows.
- Partner with systems engineers, peer developers, and stakeholders to translate complex requirements into robust software architectures.
Basic Qualifications
- Principal Software Engineer Level:
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 5+ years of hands-on software development experience; OR Master’s degree in STEM with 3+ years of experience; OR Ph.D. in STEM with 1+ year of experience.
- Core Technical Skills: Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink (data processing, analysis, visual representation, and dynamic system modeling); Hands-on programming experience in C and Python; Familiarity with INS/GPS navigation systems and Kalman filter design/requirements; Workflows and tooling experience: Git, Jira, ClearCase, or ClearQuest.
