Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Java Developer to lead the design, development, and deployment of enterprise-grade Java applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java technologies, microservices architecture, cloud platforms, and modern software development practices. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of Java-based applications.
- Collaborate with product managers, business stakeholders, architects, and designers to define project requirements and technical specifications.
- Develop clean, maintainable, efficient, and high-quality code following industry best practices.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor team members to ensure coding standards and quality guidelines are maintained.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex technical issues across applications and environments.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support automated build, testing, and deployment processes.
- Ensure application scalability, performance, reliability, and security.
- Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to key technical decisions.
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, web services, and microservices-based solutions.
- Work with DevOps and infrastructure teams to support containerized and cloud-native deployments.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
Required Skills
- Proven hands-on experience in Java application development with a strong software engineering background.
- Extensive experience with Spring Framework.
- Strong expertise in Spring Boot.
- Hands-on experience with Hibernate/JPA.
- Experience designing and developing Microservices-based applications.
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
- Knowledge of software design patterns and best practices.
- Extensive experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs.
- Strong knowledge of web services development and integration.
- Hands-on experience with Docker for containerization.
- Experience working with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
- Experience with AWS cloud services.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud platform.
- Strong proficiency in SQL.
- Experience working with MySQL databases.
- Experience working with PostgreSQL databases.
- Hands-on experience with Git version control systems.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools and automated deployment pipelines.
- Understanding of DevOps practices and methodologies.
- Knowledge of application security principles.
- Experience optimizing application scalability and performance.
Compensation
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $82,082 to $193,440. Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law. The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
