Senior Software Engineer
What You'll Do
- Lead the development and testing of core systems and services, ensuring high quality and reliability.
- Actively participate in shaping the technical architecture, contributing to strategic decisions that define our product's future.
- Translate complex product requirements into clear user stories and robust technical solutions.
- Deliver highly available and scalable services, ensuring seamless performance in a production environment.
- Mentor fellow engineers, fostering a strong technical culture and supporting team growth and development.
- Generate innovative ideas for new initiatives and technologies, driving continuous improvement and forward-thinking solutions.
- Communicate effectively with project leads, product managers, and other software developers to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 4+ years of programming experience, ideally with modern technology stacks.
- 2+ years of programming experience with Java, Kotlin, or Scala.
- A proven understanding of relational databases and Object-Relational Mappers (ORMs).
- Experience working on a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) or microservice-based application.
- Willingness to collaborate closely with team members, roll up your sleeves, and ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
- A solid sense of responsibility, demonstrating the ability to drive projects from inception to successful completion.
- An affinity for solving complex problems and shipping impactful features, prioritizing results over overly polished code or architecture.
- Experience working in a collaborative coding environment, including refining designs, participating in code reviews, and managing pull requests.
Nice to Have
- Interest in personal finance.
- Experience managing personal investments or experience with financial products like loans.
- Experience scaling highly available, mission-critical systems.
- Full-stack experience, whether specializing in systems (e.g., containerization, operating systems), databases (e.g., PostgreSQL), or front-end development (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, React).

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $72 to $80. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
