Senior Software Engineer

Applied Research Solutions is seeking multiple Software Engineers with a mix of experience in cloud-native full-stack development. As part of our team, you will provide software and web development services in support of our customer in Dayton, OH. About the Role

We are seeking a diverse group of candidates with expertise in various technologies, including JavaScript, Python, React, Angular, and others. Independent problem-solving and collaboration are key, as our scope of work spans multiple technologies and requires deep reach-back support.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction and guidance to lower-level programmers.
• Apply advanced knowledge in engineering, computer science, and information technology for the design, development, and implementation of complex programming projects.
• Handle complex assignments requiring initiative and independent judgment.
• Develop solutions tailored to government needs.
• Function as a Project Leader, interfacing with government stakeholders.
• Prepare and generate technical reports and documentation.
• Produce software based on user and analyst requirements.
• Interpret mission needs to create user-friendly software systems.
• Leverage continuous integration for sustainable and maintainable software.
• Collaborate with teammates and users through whiteboard sessions and design documents to establish feedback loops.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Master’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in multiple of the following: Java, Python, Go, Rust, JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, VueJs, NodeJS, OpenAPI, ArangoDB, Valkey, PostgreSQL, MinIO, Istio ServiceMesh, Redis, Knative, Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, OpenContainer Initiative, OTEL, and/or Kafka.
• Experience with Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning technologies (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, LangChain, vLLM, PyTorch Lightning, SK Learn, LibreChat, Streamlit, KubeFlow, MLFlow, Bedrock, Fast API, Tune, Ray Train, Safe Tensors, and/or ONNX) is highly desired.
• Kubernetes Certified Application Developer (CKAD) and Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certifications are highly desired.
