Senior Software Engineer

About the role

Alloy is seeking two new Senior Software Engineers to join the Decisioning team. This role is part of a hybrid-work environment where employees are onsite three times per week.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product managers to translate product and technical vision into a concrete roadmap.
• Architect, develop, test, and deploy significant customer-facing features and projects using cutting-edge tools and technologies.
• Work on both the front-end and backend, with the ability and willingness to lean in on either side of the stack at different times as needed, depending on the project.
• Craft high-quality, thoroughly-tested code that meets the unique requirements of our clients, ensuring robustness, reliability, and continuous improvement of our platform.
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance, and foster a culture of learning and growth.

Requirements

• 5+ years (or 8+ years for Senior 2) of hands-on experience in developing production-ready software.
• Demonstrated expertise in steering both front-end and backend technical projects.
• Strong ability to adapt to the evolving needs of our growing organization and dynamic product landscape.
• Proficiency in client-side technologies such as TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6/React), HTML/CSS, and server-side proficiency in Python (Django).
• Practical experience in managing relational databases, with a strong command over PostgreSQL.

Skills

• Experience with TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6/React), HTML/CSS.
• Server-side proficiency in Python (Django).
• Experience with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
• Experience with OpenSearch and AWS.

Pay

• The Senior Software Engineer 1 position has a base salary range of $166,000 - $209,000.
• The Senior Software Engineer 2 position has a base salary range of $198,000 - $250,000.
