Senior Software Engineer (AI Products)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Engineer to join our AI product team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of AI and machine learning, with experience building and shipping complex systems.

Responsibilities

• Architect and ship the Campaign Builder and Agent experiences end-to-end, including frontend, backend, prompts, and evals.
• Ensure reliability on top of large language models (LLMs), implementing retries, fallbacks, and orchestration to minimize failures.
• Define metrics for evaluating model quality, catch regressions, and maintain brand and tone consistency across thousands of customer accounts.
• Optimize speed and user experience, focusing on latency and the feedback loop between user input and output.
• Collaborate with product and design to prototype and define the most challenging interactions, setting the direction for the team.
• Guide the next generation of engineers by reviewing code, hiring, and shaping architectural decisions.

Requirements

• Full-stack expertise, comfortable working across frontend, backend, and UI components.
• Experience with large language models (LLMs) in production, including RAG, evals, and agent frameworks.
• Strong foundation in a backend language such as Python, TypeScript, Kotlin, or Ruby.
• Able to communicate complex technical decisions clearly, both in writing and verbally.
• Ability to work in ambiguous environments, making decisions based on available data and intuition.
• Passion for building high-quality software that solves real-world problems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience with distributed systems, databases, and cloud services.
• Knowledge of machine learning and natural language processing (NLP).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Schedule

This role is full-time and requires in-person attendance in New York City, five days a week.
