The Senior Software Engineer - Agent Team is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining features and services that support communication with millions of deployed software agents worldwide. This role ensures the delivery of secure, scalable, and high-quality software components through end-to-end ownership from design to production. The position plays a key role in advancing the platform's capabilities, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to translate complex problems into effective solutions, and driving continuous improvement with a strong focus on secure coding and performance.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, develop, and secure solutions facilitating communication with globally deployed software agents.
• Own significant features and services from technical design through production operation, including user interface components.
• Champion secure coding practices and modern software development standards within the engineering team.
• Enhance event-driven services to introduce new features on the platform and endpoint software.
• Contribute to continuous improvement through testing, performance tuning, refactoring, usability enhancements, and automation.
• Produce detailed specifications and participate in all phases of the engineering lifecycle.
• Maintain a quality-first approach, emphasizing thorough testing.
• Collaborate with Product, Program Management, Quality Engineering, and Technical Support to clarify and scope work.
• Make data-driven development decisions considering production impact.

Requirements

• Strong experience with Go or Java and versatility in programming languages.
• Experience developing software with continuous client connectivity.
• Minimum of 5 years designing, developing, testing, and monitoring applications in high-availability SaaS environments.
• Proficiency in secure coding practices, including knowledge of OWASP.
• Experience building production applications in cloud environments, particularly AWS, with emphasis on security.
• Professional experience with frontend development using modern JavaScript frameworks and TypeScript.
• Familiarity with scaling microservice architectures, event ingestion platforms, real-time messaging systems, and non-relational databases.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in a remote, cross-functional team.
• Leadership capabilities in mentoring junior engineers.

Pay

Compensation 140000—190000 USD base pay range, with additional bonus, equity, and benefits components.
