About the Role
As a founding-stage engineer at Formulary Financial, you will build the world’s first AI-native data platform for fund administration. You’ll design scalable backend services, user-centric frontends, and integrate agentic AI workflows. This high-ownership role allows you to shape the technical architecture and product direction while tackling complex fintech challenges for leading global asset managers.

Responsibilities
- Build and scale a full-stack platform connecting fund administration teams, GPs, and LPs using modern distributed cloud architectures.
- Design and integrate agentic AI capabilities to automate complex financial workflows and streamline investor communications and reporting.
- Architect robust data systems and back-end frameworks to manage billions in assets while ensuring data accuracy and accessibility.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional full-stack engineering experience with a deep understanding of storage systems, databases, and DevOps.
- Proven track record of shipping quality products at early-stage startups or world-class fintechs like Ramp or Square.
- Strong interest in AI/ML and the ability to navigate ambiguous, complex problems with an owner’s mindset.
