About the role

Formulary Financial, Inc. is a $4.6M seed-stage fintech backed by Khosla Ventures and Serena Ventures that is building the world's first AI-native fund administration platform. The company transforms complex asset management operations into data-driven intelligence, managing billions in assets for leading global private equity and venture capital firms.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale a full-stack platform connecting fund administration teams, GPs, and LPs using modern distributed cloud architectures.
• Design and integrate agentic AI capabilities to automate complex financial workflows and streamline investor communications and reporting.
• Arcitect robust data systems and back-end frameworks to manage billions in assets while ensuring data accuracy and accessibility.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional full-stack engineering experience with a deep understanding of storage systems, databases, and DevOps.
• Demonstrates a proven track record of shipping quality products at early-stage startups or world-class fintechs like Ramp or Square.
• Possesses a strong interest in AI/ML and the ability to navigate ambiguous, complex problems with an owner’s mindset.

Qualifications

• Proven success in full-stack development, including front-end and back-end technologies.
• Experience with modern distributed cloud architectures and DevOps practices.
• Strong understanding of database systems and storage solutions.
• Ability to design and implement scalable backend services and user-centric frontends.
• Experience with AI/ML and automation of complex financial workflows.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
