About the role

The Senior Software Development Manager will lead a team of software developers in developing and maintaining complex software systems. This role requires strong leadership skills, experience managing development teams, and a deep understanding of software engineering principles.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of software developers in designing, developing, testing, and deploying software solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and other engineers to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, ensuring that all team members have access to the necessary information to perform their tasks effectively.
  • Ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices, and mentor junior team members to improve their skills.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to meet project goals.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure high-quality code is produced.
  • Stay current with industry trends and technologies, and incorporate new developments into the team's work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in software development management, with at least 5 years leading teams of 10+ developers.
  • Proven track record of delivering successful projects on time and within budget.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Qualifications

  • Experience with software development lifecycle processes.
  • Knowledge of software architecture and design patterns.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools.
