Senior Software Development Engineer in Test

About the role

Join our Networks SQA team to ensure Akamai's global platform's reliability through testing routing and switching hardware and software.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to system test plans for effective test coverage and automation
• Create and deploy automated system tests to replicate real-world scenarios
• Improve testing methodologies and procedures for enhanced test automation efficiency
• Review product and system design requirements to verify the accuracy of test plans and test cases

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field
• Experience in developing test automation in Python and Full Stack development
• Experience with managing and troubleshooting Juniper or Cisco routers and switches
• Hands-on experience with Border Gateway Protocol (BGP)
• Experience in IP network design and routing architectures

Pay

The base salary for this position ranges from $121,400 - $218,600/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary.

Flexibility is supported through Akamai's FlexBase program, allowing employees to work remotely or in an office setting as needed.
