Senior Software Development Engineer, FSx for Lustre

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer to join the Amazon FSx for Lustre team. Amazon FSx for Lustre is a fast-growing AWS service that provides high-performance, cost-effective, and scalable storage powered by Lustre, the world's most popular high-performance file system. FSx for Lustre provides the fastest storage performance for GPU instances in the cloud with up to terabytes per second of throughput, millions of IOPS, sub-millisecond latencies, and virtually unlimited storage capacity. As AI/ML training and high-performance computing workloads grow rapidly, FSx for Lustre is the storage that keeps up with them.

A day in the life: Our team of talented, passionate engineers use the latest in serverless and virtualization technologies to build distributed systems at AWS scale. We solve complex, varied problems to enable customers in a diverse set of businesses from AI/ML to EDA, Media & Entertainment to HPC, and enterprise IT. We build infrastructure-as-code to deploy software quickly and efficiently across the globe and automate the monitoring and health of our software at never-seen-before scale.

Requirements

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Pay

USA, MA, Boston - $168,100.00 - $227,400.00 USD annually. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
