About the role
This opportunity is for a Senior Software Development Engineer within Audible’s Consumer Domains group. The team creates and powers Audible’s applications, components, and services for global listeners across desktop and mobile devices. You’ll work in an agile environment, partnering closely with Audible and Amazon tech teams, Product, UX, and QA. This role is based in Newark, NJ.
Responsibilities
- Independently lead complex technical initiatives within your team
- Mentor and support other developers by cultivating curiosity and deep technical understanding
- Explore technical needs and propose solutions
- Establish and follow good engineering practices
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) for new and existing systems
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations

Pay
Base salary range: $158,100 – $213,800 USD annually (Newark, NJ). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
