About the role

This role is a lead software development engineer position on the Amazon Quick team, focusing on developing features for a Generative AI application. The team is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of AI technology and delivering high-quality user experiences. Candidates will collaborate closely with senior scientists and engineers to create robust and reliable software solutions. This position offers high visibility and impact, leading customer-facing initiatives within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Decide what features and performance improvements to build
  • Drive software engineering best practices
  • Design distributed and scalable systems
  • Provide technical leadership and contribute to the development of new AI services
  • Instill best practices for software development and documentation

Requirements

  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
  • 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
  • 5+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Pay

$168,100 – $227,400 per year
