Senior Software Development Engineer, Amazon Quick
About the role
Come shape the future as a Lead Software Development Engineer on the Amazon Quick team. You will design and develop features for a new Generative AI application that transforms how enterprises operate, working from the ground floor of a high-impact, customer-facing initiative under Amazon Quick. This role offers high visibility and the chance to push the boundaries of AI with creative problem-solving and close collaboration across engineering, science, and product teams.
Responsibilities
- Decide which features and performance improvements to build for the Amazon Quick product
- Drive software engineering best practices and instill them across the team
- Design distributed and scalable systems that power AI services
- Provide technical leadership and contribute to the definition, development, integration, testing, documentation, and support of new AI services
- Ensure designs meet requirements and deliver high-quality software on tight schedules

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
Pay
USA, WA, Seattle — $168,100.00 – $227,400.00 USD annually
