Senior Software Development Engineer, Amazon Ads

Come lead the innovation in this startup team focused on vertical ad products. This is a greenfield problem without a known answer or pattern to follow. We have an ambitious vision to simplify full-funnel advertising solutions at scale, using specialized agentic AI-powered models, and diversify demand into strategic verticals including finserv, autos, and local markets.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical strategy of engineering and science teams in close partnership with a Principal Engineer and Scientists
• Own, build, develop, and lead the technical components of a business-critical initiative to design, develop, launch, and maintain advertising solution(s) and service(s)
• Enable advertisers with simplified AI-powered advertising offerings
• Mentor and grow strong SDE IIs into Senior SDEs

Requirements

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Pay

Base salary range: $168,100.00 – $227,400.00 USD annually (Seattle, WA). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
