Senior Software Developer, Platform Engineering (Hybrid or Remote)
About the role
Join the CICD platforms team to help design, build, and evolve our modern CI/CD platform powered by GitHub Actions, Argo, and Kubernetes. This role is critical to enabling fast, reliable, and scalable software delivery across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions.
- Manage GitOps-based deployments using Argo CD into Kubernetes environments.
- Improve system reliability, scalability, and deployment safety across environments.
- Embed AI-powered tooling into DevOps workflows (CI/CD optimization, PR summarization, automated review assistance, policy validation, incident insights).
- Lead incident response and root cause analysis for CI/CD and deployment-related outages.
- Define and enforce GitHub governance best practices (branch protection, reusable workflows, permissions, policy automation).
- Identify bottlenecks in developer workflows and proactively drive improvements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, SRE, and product teams to ensure platform solutions meet real customer needs.
- Mentor engineers and promote best practices around DevOps, GitOps, and cloud-native systems.
Requirements
At least 5 years of professional software development experience
Strong proficiency in at least one backend language (e.g., Java, Python, Go, Node.js, etc.)
BA/BS in computer science, or equivalent work experience
Strong experience building CI/CD systems using GitHub Actions or equivalent technologies
Hands-on experience with Argo CD and GitOps-based deployment models
Deep understanding of Kubernetes and cloud-native architecture
Familiarity with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Helm, etc.)
Qualifications
Experience improving developer workflows and internal platform tooling.
Experience using AI code generation tools such as GitHub Copilot, Anthropic Claude Code, Cursor, or similar.
Exposure to AI/CD tooling integration in engineering workflows is a strong plus.

Pay
$166,900.00 - $203,900.00
Schedule
This role may include participation in an on-call rotation to support production systems and ensure service reliability. On-call responsibilities may include coverage during nights and weekends. If applicable, frequency and scheduling will be determined by team needs and communicated accordingly.
