Senior Software Developer - Mobile Robot Planning

Position Description

Design, implement, test and maintain software for autonomous fleet management, including task assignment, multi-agent motion planning and plan execution frameworks. Build robust interfaces between hardware and software for AMRs/AGVs. Optimize algorithms and implementation for scaling. Balance tradeoffs for production systems, for example, in battery management or AGV utilization. Write production-quality code that runs in near real-time. Deploy solutions in simulation and real-world environments. Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless communication between robots and enterprise platforms. Mentor junior developers and enforce best practices in software development.

Position Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in robotics software development, industrial automation, or similar industry.
• Strong programming skills in C++ and Python.
• Expertise in robotics, motion planning, multi-agent coordination or real-time systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in multi-agent pathfinding or task assignment in lifelong and online domains.
• Experience with ROS/ROS2.
• Experience with real-time systems.

Physical Demands/Work Environment

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Ability to work extended hours as needed.

Travel Requirement

• Less than 20%, domestically and internationally.
