BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- B.S. in Software or Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or equivalent experience in a related field. MSEE is a plus.
- 7+ years of professional hands-on experience in Software Controls Engineering.
- Up to 20% of travel may be required between locations.
- Ability to travel for work-related purposes as needed; access to reliable transportation is required due to the nature of our business and multiple client sites.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Background checks are required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience programming industrial automation systems using PLCs, HMIs, and industrial software platforms.
- Proficiency with several of the following:
- PLCs: Rockwell (Allen-Bradley), Siemens, Beckhoff, B&R, Codesys
- HMI/SCADA: Ignition, FactoryTalk View, WinCC, Maple Systems
- Industrial Robotics: FANUC, ABB, Epson, Denso
- Motion Control, Vision Systems, and Industrial Networking
- Familiarity with Python, C/C++, C#, or similar programming languages.
- Experience with Windows, Linux, and virtual machine environments (VMware, Hyper-V, VirtualBox).
- Experience commissioning and troubleshooting automated equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, program, test, and commission PLC and HMI software for custom automation systems.
- Integrate automation components including robots, motion systems, vision systems, sensors, and safety devices.
- Troubleshoot and support machine startup, commissioning, and customer acceptance testing.
- Develop technical documentation including control specifications and software documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver complete automation solutions.
- Lead controls engineering efforts on complex projects.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical direction.
- Support proposal development, project planning, and customer technical discussions.
