Senior Software Architect, Browser Extension Platform

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Architect, Browser Extension Platform to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will shape the technical direction of a browser-based platform and guide the long-term evolution of its architecture. You will partner closely with product, engineering, and other cross-functional teams to translate requirements into scalable, secure solutions. The position will also influence key technical decisions, help establish strong design patterns, and mentor senior engineers to improve overall architecture quality. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $150,000 – $180,000 annually Responsibilities Define the technical architecture and long-term evolution of the browser extension platform Lead architectural design for complex browser-based features and shared services Design scalable solutions using JavaScript and modern web technologies Establish secure communication patterns for extension components and services Guide technical decisions on browser API interactions and extension lifecycle Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate product requirements into technical designs Mentor senior engineers on architecture quality and technical decision-making Qualifications 10+ years in software engineering with full-stack development expertise Experience designing complex software systems from concept to production Strong knowledge of software architecture and design patterns Proven skills in performance engineering and system scalability Familiarity with cloud-native technologies like AWS, Lambda, and Docker Knowledge of security practices in software development and architecture Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience Benefits Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage Employer-paid Life Insurance with supplemental options Voluntary Short- and Long-Term Disability Insurance 401(k) plan options, including Roth and Traditional Generous PTO plan including paid Bereavement and Jury Duty Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
