Senior SoD Engineer

About the role

This position is onsite at our Detroit, MI office (also open to Dallas, TX). The role supports the development, implementation, and ongoing health of the bank’s Separation of Duties (SoD) program, aligning standards, controls, and procedures with NIST guidance. It partners with IAM, risk, business, application, entitlement, and infrastructure stakeholders to manage access conflicts, mature processes, deliver SoD matrices, and configure policies in SailPoint.

Responsibilities

• Assist in leading and executing SoD standards, controls, and procedures in alignment with the NIST framework.
• Assist in leading development and implementation of process maturity.
• Work with the Program Manager to deliver Identity & Access Management (IAM) projects and key deliverables.
• Collaborate closely with risk, application teams, entitlement owners, and infrastructure teams to identify, implement, and maintain Separation of Duties controls.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

• High School diploma.
• 4+ years of experience in Identity & Access Management.
• 4+ years of experience working closely with lines of business to understand roles, entitlements, and toxic combinations.
• 4+ years of experience gathering requirements and delivering successful Separation of Duties matrices.
• 4+ years of experience executing IAM controls and processes.
• 2+ years of experience using and configuring SoD policies in SailPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

• Track record of acting with integrity, taking pride in work, seeking to excel, being curious and adaptable, and communicating effectively.
• Preferred certifications: CISSP, CISM.
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or Information Security.
• Practical experience working within a banking function, risk management, or audit.
