Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) – CloudVision as a Service (CVaaS)
About the role
We're seeking Site Reliability Engineers to join our global SRE team for Arista's CloudVision-as-a-Service (CVaaS). SREs are responsible for our CloudVision service fleet, ensuring scalability, reliability, and stability.
Responsibilities
- Develop, operate, and work with various types of databases, both directly on Kubernetes or leveraging managed DB products.
- Integrate with Open Source Software (OSS) projects that power our microservices stack, monitoring infrastructure, and more.
- Drive, develop, and lead projects in areas such as Data Platform, Architecture and Performance, Capacity Planning, Autoscaling, Disaster Recovery, Observability, Change Management - CI/CD, Service Network Architecture, Cost Optimizations, and Instructure and Cloud-First Application Security.
- Join a globally distributed, "follow the sun" on-call team to continuously improve operational processes by adding automation, leading sustainable incident response, and conducting blameless postmortems.
Qualifications
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science or relevant experience.
- 5+ years software engineering experience.
- Experience developing or managing deployments of distributed database systems or scale-out applications for a SaaS environment.
- Proficiency in Python, Golang, and/or other languages.
- Comfortable in Bash and/or other scripting languages.

The actual base pay offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications, relevant experience, and work location. US-based employees are also entitled to additional benefits.
Pay
The new hire base pay for this role has a salary range of $101,000 to $161,000. Arista offers different pay ranges based on work location, ensuring consistent and competitive pay appropriate to the market.
