Responsibilities
- Design, simulation, characterization, and application of high speed electrical connectors and cable-based interconnects
- Component development as well as customer support on new product introduction
- Contribute to an established team of dedicated signal integrity engineers and engineers of other disciplines
- Share knowledge and pursue continuous improvement in methods and workflows
- Collaborate multi-disciplinary teams in the development of next generation high speed I/O interconnect products
- Aid with providing solutions to customers across a wide range of sectors with their high speed data transmission requirements
- Support the internal Sales Engineers to develop strategies for product break-in at existing and new accounts based on signal integrity and electrical engineering expertise
- Identify and resolve signal Integrity issues in PCB layout
- Design, build, and measure circuit boards for measurement and verification of products
- Apply circuit theory and high-speed digital transmission, PCB layout principles for high-speed digital design
Requirements
- BS in Electrical Engineering, MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering is preferred
- 5 years of industry experience with an understanding of electro-magnetic principles for digital signal integrity
- Experience in component design and application of high-speed connectors into communications equipment is a plus
- Experience with signal integrity measurements and debugging with TDR, VNA, pattern generators, error detectors and similar measurement equipment
- Experience with signal integrity and simulation/analysis tools such as Ansys HFSS and Designer, CST Microwave, HSPICE, MatLab, and ADS
- Hands-on experience with frequency-domain and time-domain component and circuit characterization including understanding of test and calibration methods
Qualifications
