Senior Shipper & Receiver

About the role

JELD-WEN is seeking motivated, safety-focused individuals to join our Shipping & Receiving team in Mount Vernon, Ohio. This role is responsible for accurately loading, unloading, scanning, verifying, and securing windows, patio doors, glass, screens, and related products for shipment while ensuring product quality and on-time delivery to customers.

Responsibilities

• Use handheld scanners, tablets, carts, and forklifts (training provided where applicable) to track inventory, verify shipping information, maintain proper loading sequences, and secure products to prevent damage during transportation.
• Follow established quality standards, perform visual inspections, identify and report product concerns, and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Requirements

• Able to work safely while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and high-visibility apparel.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to accurately follow shipping procedures and quality standards.
• Basic computer and scanning device operation, effective communication skills, dependability, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Prior manufacturing, warehouse, shipping, receiving, material handling, or forklift experience is required.
• Demonstrate a commitment to safety, quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
