Senior ServiceNow Developer

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer with 7+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience to design, develop, customize, and support enterprise ServiceNow solutions.

About the Role

The ideal candidate is a hands-on Senior ServiceNow Developer who can independently design and deliver enterprise ServiceNow solutions. The candidate should have strong platform fundamentals, advanced scripting and integration experience, a solid understanding of ITSM processes, and the ability to work directly with business stakeholders and technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, and customize ServiceNow applications and modules.
• Develop solutions using JavaScript, Glide APIs, Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, and UI Actions.
• Implement and enhance ITSM modules including Incident, Problem, Change, Request, and Knowledge Management.
• Develop workflows and automation using Flow Designer and Workflow Editor.
• Build and maintain ServiceNow integrations with internal and external applications.
• Develop and consume REST and SOAP APIs.
• Configure and customize ServiceNow forms, tables, fields, views, ACLs, notifications, and reports.
• Develop and maintain Service Portal components and user experiences.
• Implement custom applications and scoped applications on the ServiceNow platform.
• Develop reusable scripts, components, and automation frameworks.
• Troubleshoot application, integration, workflow, and production issues.
• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to ServiceNow development best practices.
• Participate in platform upgrades, releases, testing, and deployment activities.
• Work with business analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Create technical documentation and support knowledge-transfer activities.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to development teams.

Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
• Strong experience with the ServiceNow platform and ITSM modules.
• Advanced knowledge of JavaScript and ServiceNow Glide APIs.

• Strong understanding of ServiceNow data model and platform architecture.
• Experience troubleshooting complex production issues.
• Strong SQL/database concepts and integration knowledge.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
• CIS certifications in ITSM, Service Portal, Discovery, or other relevant modules.
• Experience with CMDB and Discovery.
• Experience with ITOM, ITOM Visibility, Event Management, or Service Mapping.
• Experience with ServiceNow CSM, HRSD, or SecOps.
• Experience with IntegrationHub and REST/SOAP integrations.
• Experience with MID Server.
• Experience with Automated Test Framework (ATF).
• Experience with ServiceNow Performance Analytics.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, or DevOps practices for ServiceNow.
• Experience supporting large enterprise ServiceNow implementations.
