SAIC is seeking a skilled and motivated Senior ServiceNow Developer to join our team in support of an enterprise IT environment. The primary focus of this role is on the design, development, implementation, and enhancement of ServiceNow workflows and capabilities to address complex business and operational needs.
Responsibilities
- Design and customize ServiceNow applications, modules, and workflows to meet business and operational requirements, leveraging modern best practices.
- Configure ServiceNow components, including UI policies, business rules, client scripts, workflows, ACLs, and system properties, to enhance platform functionality and usability.
- Design and implement integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems and data sources using APIs, middleware, and scripted solutions.
- Build custom ServiceNow applications and modules to address unique organizational needs, providing scalable and efficient solutions.
- Create and maintain automated workflows, streamline processes, and identify opportunities to improve service delivery through automation.
- Perform diagnostics, issue resolution, and platform upgrades while minimizing service disruptions and ensuring system security.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, workflow diagrams, and operational procedures for ServiceNow configurations and applications.
- Work closely with stakeholders, project managers, process owners, and technical teams to translate business requirements into tailored platform solutions.
- Conduct testing and validation of ServiceNow configurations and custom applications to ensure performance, scalability, and compatibility with organizational standards.
- Provide support and training to end-users and administrators, ensuring optimal use of the ServiceNow platform and expanding platform adoption.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Poly.
- 5-9 years of professional experience managing and supporting enterprise-level ServiceNow environments.
- High School diploma/GED.
- Must satisfy Cybersecurity Workforce Framework (CWF) ID 621 (Software Developer – Intermediate Level) requirements, met by one of the following:
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
- ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA)
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – IT Service Management (CIS-ITSM)
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – IT Operations Management (CIS-ITOM)
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – Customer Service Management (CIS-CSM)
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – Human Resources (CIS-HR)
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – Security Incident Response (CIS-SIR)
- OR a Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
Skills
- Proficiency in JavaScript for scripting and customizations within the ServiceNow platform.
- Experience developing and maintaining ServiceNow applications using ServiceNow Studio or Scoped Applications.
- Advanced scripting knowledge, including Server-Side Scripts (Business Rules, Script Includes) and Client-Side Scripts (Client Scripts, UI Policies).
- Expertise in ServiceNow Glide API for database manipulation, API calls, and integrations.
- Ability to create and manage REST and SOAP APIs within ServiceNow for third-party integrations.
- Experience in creating and editing Workflows, Flow Designer, and Automated Tasks.
Pay
Target salary range $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

- Travel: Yes - 10% of the time
Supports on-premises enterprise IT environments, including virtualized Windows servers, MS SQL Server databases, and networking layers.
