About the role
The Senior ServiceNow Administrator serves as a platform subject matter expert, leading complex administrative initiatives and mentoring junior administrators. This role focuses on platform optimization, governance, stability, and scalability.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable administrative and configuration solutions
- Lead platform upgrades, performance tuning, and health initiatives
- Define and enforce configuration standards and guardrails
- Mentor and review work from junior administrators
- Resolve complex platform incidents involving scripts, business rules, and integrations
- Perform forensic troubleshooting of legacy configurations and customizations
- Own CMDB data quality, reconciliation rules, and CI lifecycle management
- Administer Integration Hub, MID Servers, and API-based integrations
- Create and maintain technical documentation, standards, and runbooks
- Identify and reduce technical debt and platform risks
Requirements
- Advanced ServiceNow scripting and configuration expertise
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) (required)
- ITIL® 4 Foundation (required)
- At least one ServiceNow CIS certification aligned to platform scope (e.g., CIS-ITSM, CIS-CMDB, CIS-Discovery, CIS-SAM, CIS-VR) (required)
- Deep understanding of ServiceNow data architecture
- Strong knowledge of ITSM and enterprise IT operations
- Strong understanding of CMDB concepts and CSDM alignment
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Demonstrated ability to mentor junior administrators and influence standards
Pay
The annualized base pay range for this role is $90,000–$105,000. Actual base pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant’s skill set. The base pay is one component of the total compensation package, which may also include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
