Senior SEO Account Manager

We are looking for a highly intelligent, charismatic, and creative-thinking individual who is passionate about SEO to join our team in Atlanta. This mid/senior-level position is suited for a well-rounded SEO professional experienced in technical and on-page SEO. The successful candidate will be a fantastic people-person who can distill complex SEO issues into meaningful, business-oriented actions for clients.
The overall purpose of this role is to support the VP SEO and lead the SEO Managers and Executives in implementing SEO strategy for key clients. You will be responsible for the management and delivery of SEO scopes for our clients, using both internal resources and our network of specialists, to achieve client business objectives and targets. You will also be responsible for the effective implementation of client Account Development Plans (ADPs) to meet annual business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Technical Specialist
- Leverage your passion for technology and its impact on the world to solve complex SEO challenges.
- Apply hands-on experience with websites, including understanding the complexities of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Utilize knowledge of modern programming languages like Python, Ruby, or R.
- Solve crawling and indexing challenges to improve SEO performance.
- SEO Enthusiast
- Engage with the SEO community both online and offline.
- Speak at industry events and teach the value of SEO to diverse audiences.
- Contribute content to leading industry publications and share insights about the SEO landscape.
- Data Aficionado
- Manipulate and analyze data using APIs and SQL databases.
- Excel in using complex Excel formulas, macros, and pivot tables.
- Create compelling charts and presentations that tell a data-driven story.
- Commercial Centric Team Player
- Manage and mentor large teams, identifying and nurturing talent in the SEO space.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Content, PPC, Paid Social) to break marketing silos and develop innovative client solutions.
- Build and present decks to new business prospects to drive department revenue growth.
Requirements
- Degree-level education or relevant equivalent experience.
- Demonstrable in-depth experience in digital marketing and SEO advertising.
- Exceptional communication, organization, and presentation skills.
- A mathematical and analytical mindset.
- Strong client service skills and impeccable attention to detail.
- Proven ability to work to deadlines and manage time effectively.
- Leadership skills, including experience managing direct reports, mentoring, and training.
- Experience in client expectation management and diplomatic handling of project hurdles.
- Passion for digital marketing and SEO, with a focus on account and project management.
- Ability to manage multiple digital marketing projects with strong organizational capabilities.
- Extensive knowledge of Google’s suite of cloud-based tools (Calendar, Drive, Sheets, Present, etc.).
- Advanced Excel skills, including data manipulation and complex functions.
- Strong team player with a desire to grow the SEO proposition within a dynamic and friendly team.
- Confident communication skills to convey ideas effectively.

Pay
Salary range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
- Hybrid model: 3 days in the office per week.
- Standard hours: 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with flexibility as agreed in advance with your line manager.
