Senior Security Software Engineer, Vulnerability Management

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain internal software products and capabilities to drive awareness and resolution of vulnerabilities at scale within Roblox.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, prioritize, and mitigate security vulnerabilities through tools and services.
• Design and build automated systems to highlight security issues to owners and make vulnerability remediation a first-class user experience.
• Develop tools and features that help make vulnerability remediation understandable and easy across Roblox’s entire tech stack and organization.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers in developing secure software and products, incorporating vulnerability management methodologies.

Requirements

• Proven experience in software engineering, ideally with a focus on security.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, or C#.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• A track record of delivering features and learning new technologies.
• Experience solving operational problems with software-based solutions.

• Software engineer with 4+ years of experience in working in security or related fields.

• An outstanding communicator who effectively conveys complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

• The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand.

Schedule

• Roles that are based in an office are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
