About the role
The Senior Security Operations Engineer will be responsible for managing and maintaining security operations, including incident response, threat hunting, and security monitoring. This role requires strong technical skills, experience with security tools and technologies, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain security operations, including incident response, threat hunting, and security monitoring.
- Develop and implement security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with other teams to identify and mitigate security risks, ensuring the organization's systems and data remain protected.
- Stay current with emerging threats and technologies, and adapt security strategies accordingly.
- Provide technical guidance and support to other security professionals and IT staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a security operations or IT role.
- Proven experience with security tools and technologies such as SIEM, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and vulnerability management tools.
- Experience with threat hunting and incident response methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Qualifications
- CISSP certification preferred.
- Experience with cloud-based security solutions and services.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks such as GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS.
Skills
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Experience with automation tools and scripting for security operations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong understanding of network architecture and protocols.

Pay
Salary range: $100,000 - $150,000 annually.
