Senior Security Officer

Responsibilities

• Perform security officer duties and provide supervision to ensure safety and security.
• Ensure physical security by checking doors, windows, lights, electrical appliances, equipment, locks, and emergency equipment.
• Assure accountability of students, staff, and visitors by scheduling guard station coverage and advising/train security officers in procedures.
• Act as liaison with security and law enforcement agencies, reporting and suppressing fires, and complying with regulations.
• Occasionally lift and carry student luggage weighing up to 70 lbs., climb stairs, and walk outdoors on uneven terrain.
• Occasionally drive a vehicle as part of job responsibilities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three (3) years of experience.
• Supervisory and security experience is desired.
• State security guard certification.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer proficiency.
• Ability to lift and carry student luggage weighing up to 70 lbs.
• Ability to climb stairs and walk outdoors on uneven terrain.
• A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.

Qualifications

Experience with youth, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and computer proficiency are required.

Pay

$24.00 per hour.

Schedule

Full Time, 8-hour shifts, days vary with occasional overtime.
