Senior Security Engineer
Job Description
This role is responsible for leading the company’s security posture through threat analysis, vulnerability management, and compliance oversight. The individual will play a critical role in supporting the full spectrum of infrastructure security, including server patching and threat management. Success in this role requires a technical background that extends beyond security, incorporating infrastructure engineering and broader IT skillsets to effectively support and secure the environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform threat monitoring and log analysis to identify and mitigate security risks.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and manage the security posture of the organization.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory compliance standards.
- Utilize security applications, including endpoint monitoring tools, for reporting, analysis, and configuration.
- Support server patching and overall threat and vulnerability management.
- Contribute to the full spectrum of infrastructure security as part of a security team.
Requirements
- Experience in a security engineer role with a focus on threat monitoring, log analysis, and vulnerability assessments.
- Proficiency with scripting.
- Experience with endpoint monitoring tools, including reporting, analysis, and minor configuration.
- Experience with Tanium is preferred.
