About the Opportunity
The Senior SCRUM Master role is responsible for coordinating multiple cross-functional Agile development teams using Scrum principles. This position serves as a servant leader supporting self-organized teams to complete projects effectively. The role focuses on removing impediments, facilitating Agile ceremonies, coaching team members, and enabling collaborative interactions to deliver business value in a scaled Scrum environment.
Responsibilities
- Teach and mentor multiple teams on Lean, Agile, and Scrum/Kanban principles and best practices.
- Facilitate team events to encourage participation and achieve event outcomes.
- Collaborate with teams to implement practices that enhance delivery outcomes.
- Promote a continuous improvement (Kaizen) mindset within and outside the teams.
- Assist teams in removing barriers and escalate impediments beyond team control.
- Partner with Product Owners to align product vision, goals, and backlog health.
- Collaborate with Agile Coaches to develop team agreements and coaching plans.
- Coach teams and leaders to empower problem-solving abilities.
- Act as a change agent supporting organizational change initiatives.
- Participate in scaled Agile events including cross-team planning and delivery synchronization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Agile, Project Management, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years experience on a Scrum team.
- Minimum 5 years experience with Lean and implementing Kaizen mindset.
- At least 1 year experience in a Scaled Agile environment (Scrum @ Scale or SAFe preferred).
- Strong communication, coaching, mentoring, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to Scrum values: Openness, Respect, Courage, Commitment, and Focus.
- Ability to act decisively in changing or ambiguous environments.
- Advanced Scrum certification preferred (Scrum Alliance, Scrum Inc, Scrum.org, or ICAgile).
- Experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, Miro, and Office 365 preferred.
- Encourages experimental, fail-fast, and learning mindset preferred.
- Experience with DevSecOps capabilities preferred.
- Experience in scaled frameworks, especially Scrum @ Scale, preferred.
- Experience working with diverse technical domains preferred.
- Ability to work remotely with occasional travel to office locations.
Pay
Compensation will vary based on geographic location, education, experience, qualifications, skills, shift, and collective bargaining agreements. Eligible positions may include bonus or sales incentive plans subject to applicable terms. Certain sales roles may include commission structures based on sales results.
